Originated from Hollywood, the series was heard on WOR, New York, Mutual's flagship station, Sundays from 7:00 to 7:30 PM. The series continued to be sponsored, this time by Trimount Clothing Co. (Clipper Craft Clothes). The producer / director was Basil Loughrane. The announcer was Cy Harrice. The engineer was Don Williamson Sound was done by Hal Reid and music by Albert Buhrman. Writer for the series was Edith Meiser, who had written Sherlock Holmes scripts from the very beginnings of Sherlock Holmes radio adventures in 1930. In fact, she wrote all scripts up to mid-1945. John Stanley and Alfred Shirley played the roles of Holmes and Watson for one season of 39 shows. The next season would again see changes in an effort to keep the series alive.
