Quill was a detective and scientific genius and was assisted by his secretary assistant Gail Carson and is friend on the police force Captain Roger Dorn. Most notable on this series was the opening signature, a wailing Peeeeterrrrr Quillll ….which was achieved by having Marvin Miller wail into the strings of a piano while the sostenuto pedal was held down.
