This summer replacement for the Burns and Allen Show was a revue created to showcase new, unknown performers. Producer Leonard Sillman had used this format before in 1934, 1936, and 1948. The 1934 show had "discovered" Henry Fonda and Imogene Coca. Eleven newcomers were brought together and became involved in every aspect of the show (writing, staging, dance, etc.) and then performing it on the air. Each week a "new" twelfth person was added. The 1952 stage version of this program introduced Carol Lawrence and Eartha Kitt.
