This was in reality two separate series. The first run was hosted by Pat O'Brian and presented light dramas, usually light romantic dramas.

The second series, beginning in 1959, was produced and directed by Himan Brown and featured a rotating cast of stars including Eddie Albert, Madeleine Carroll, Gloria DeHaven, Lee Bowman, and Celeste Holm.

It usually dramatized stories depicting people in "climatic moments in their lives."
