This variety program showcased unknown acts. As John Dunning puts it, "…it was a parade of the unknown, the occasionally talented, the often-forlorn dog-and-pony shows." The hook was that it used the listening audience as critics. A up-pouring of positive opinion put several acts into regularly scheduled programs. The only one worthy of note was "This Is Jazz", which had a nearly year long run on the Mutual Network.
