This series was produced to coincide with the comic strip publication and was transcribed for the Hearst newspaper chain in the West. The series only lasted 26 episodes. In the final show, Flash and his friends crashed into the jungle and were rescued by Jungle Jim. Ironically, Jungle Jim became a staple for the Hearst syndicate and lasted for years.

This was a completely different production with different cast members and different musical effects. The cast and crew are unknown but Jim Meigham is credited as Flash Gordon by some sources.
