Series Description:
FORT LARAMIE opened with "Specially transcribed tales of the dark and
tragic ground of the wild frontier. The saga of fighting men who
rode the rim of empire and the dramatic story of Lee Quince, Captain
of Cavalry".
The part of Lee Quince was played Raymond Burr, whose powerful voice
made the character very believable. This short but excellent series
was created by Norman Macdonnell, among whose credits include
GUNSMOKE. Like GUNSMOKE, the productions were of high caliber, aided
by a great supporting case, including Vic Perrin (Sergeant Gorce),
Harry Bartell (Lieutenant Siberts) and Jack Moyles (Major Daggett).
Unfortunately, competition from TV and the decline of radio spelled
an early end to this series.
Log Comments:

Wichita State University Special Collections and University Archives

Reader Feedback:
* Roger Dolan identified "Sergent Will Banyon" as an alternate title
for "The New Recruit".
* Stewart Wright provided much information after visiting Wichita
State University and the Kathleen Hite Special Collection there. He
identified script usage for "Little Girl" and provided corrected
character name spelling as it appeared on the scripts plus other
information.
