This was an on-air audition of possible CBS radio programs with the public asked for its opinion. The programming ran the gamut from comedy to horror to mystery. It had two notable contributions. Duffy's Tavern debuted on July 29, 1940 and Suspense broadcast the first of its many programs on July 22, 1940.

Hopalong Cassidy made its first appearance in the summer of 1941 but it was nearly a decade before it became as series.
