"Favorite Story" began as a local dramatic show from Los Angeles but was soon syndicated nationwide. Each week a Hollywood star was asked to select a classic be dramatized. These selections were hyped as the stars "favorite". Production stopped in 1949 after 118 episodes but the show was heard for years afterwards in local markets.
