"Everything for the Boys threw actor Ronald Coleman and writer-director Arch Obler together for a stormy 21 week collaboration". "Pairing Colman , the epitome of screen savoir faire, with one of radios most talked about writers seemed a natural. Coleman would be heard in a variety of mini-plays, ranging from classics to film adaptations to Obler's originals." "After the plays servicemen in far flung theaters would be connected, via short wave, to wives and family" However; the friction between Coleman and Obler "created an atmosphere that was untenable"
