Sep 12, 1938-Jun 3, 1955	Blue Network into ABC. Many 15m wekeday timeslots. Off the air 1944-45 while the host, 
				Ted Malone, went to Italy and Iceland as a war correspondent. Weekday broadcasts 
				resumed on ABC at 11:45am, later at 11:30am for Westinghouse, 1945-49, with Ernest
 				Chappell, announcer. Heard weekdays, 1949-1955, mostly at 1:15, various sponsors.

One of the major poetry readers on network radio and an unlikely sex symbol, at his peak he was
 receiving 20,000 letters from his largely feminine audience. Each show was based on a theme, he sat
 at a table and with only an accompanying organist read poetry.
