Series Description:

ALIEN WORLDS, a modern science fiction series, broadcast in stereo,
opens:

"Slowly rotating, at the edge of deep space, one thousand
kilometers beyond the atmosphere of 21st century Earth, is
the Arthur C. Clark astronomical observatory Star Lab.
Here, Star Lab research director Mora Cassiday, along with
scientists and technicians of the International Space
Authority, watch over the countless suns, planets and star
     systems that fill the universe."

ALIEN WORLDS was produced and broadcast in 1979 and deals with the
interplanetary peacekeepers on Star Lab. It was created by Lee
Hansen, who also produced and directed all 26 broadcast episodes in
two seasons. The series was syndicated and both seasons were often
broadcast back-to-back.

J. Michael Straczynski, creator of the TV series "Babylon 5" and
executive producer for "Murder, She Wrote", wrote one unaired episode
for a third season ("A Question of Conscience"). A few other scripts
were initiated, but never completed. A one-hour interview with
the creator is also available.

Some of the shows were later made available to the public first on
record and later on cassette. Currently, legitimate copies of these
shows are available for purchase only from the official Alien Worlds
website at http://www.alienworlds.com.

Log Comments:

As this was a syndicated series, broadcast dates and broadcast order
varied around the nation. Broadcast dates and broadcast order in
this list were based on earliest broadcast date known. Information
found indicated there were two 13-show seasons with a 13 week gap
between them.
