This 1945 serial was written by Walter Gibson of "The Shadow" fame.

Jim Brandon, scientist, helps out the police with their cases.  His inventions
include a mind reading machine and a secret capsule that renders him invisible.
The early shows tried to incorporate the "mental messages" theme but succeeded
poorly.  As the show progressed the telepathy machine was written out of the
scripts leaving "The Avenger" a poor imitation of "The Shadow".   James Monks,
