An earlier series of 208 episodes was made in Adelaide in 1945 and 1948 by 'The Advertiser' Broadcasting Network and starred Keith MacDonald as Biggles with scripts by Maurice Chapman. It was broadcast on 2CH in 1945 and 1948 and on 2KO Newcastle in 1946

Main theme music: Danger Man (George Melachrino) E.M.I. disc Ep.1. This was later changed to Chappell's Changing Scenes No. 2 and the Duel (both composed by Sidney Torch and performed by Queen's Hall Light Orchestra).
